AFTE Advisory
Committee's Duties
The Advisory Committee shall consist of the five (5) most
immediate Past Presidents who are willing to serve; the most
immediate Past President shall be the Chairman.
The Advisory Committee shall receive and process applications
for Emeritus Member status in the manner described in the
bylaws. They may also assist the Board of Directors in
implementing the objectives of the Association by offering
advice and counsel, and by performing those duties that may
from time to time be assigned them by the President or the
Board of Directors.
The current committee members have assumed the responsibility
of reviewing applications for Provisional members who wish to
upgrade to Regular membership, but who have no available
members to write recommendations. The committee will review
the work product of the applicant and offer letters of
recommendation on their behalf, as necessary, to afford the
applicant the opportunity of continued membership in the
association.
