AFTE Store - How Effective are Homemade Silencers?

Typically silencers submitted to the laboratory are “homemade” silencers rather than the professionally made commercial type. The aim of this research is to determine how effective these silencers are, how they affect accuracy, and how they compare to the commercial designs. First this paper will address what a silencer is, how a silencer works, a brief history, and some legal issues, then the research that was conducted will be presented.
