AFTE Store - Class Characteristic Markings on Cartridges Fired From Homemade Submachine Guns

Homemade Submachine Guns (HSMG) have been received in our laboratory during the past several years. Two HSMGs were examined and named Type I and Type II. The intention of this research is to investigate and present the similar and the different class characteristics of HSMGs against conventional SMGs (Carl Gustav/Port Said and UZI). The ability of the IBIS system to distinguish between homemade and original manufactured SMG was studied.
