Ten consecutively manufactured multi-purpose tools were obtained, one function of which is crimp plastic encased electrical connectors.  The surfaces of the crimping area of each of the tools were case and test marks made in lead to assess the relative uniqueness of the surfaces and whether the differences would be sufficient to reliably reach conclusions of identification according to the precepts of the AFTE THeory of Identification.
