Lead free bullets may begin to show up in case work, especially in California, due to current and future requirements for hunting bullets and lawsuits against the Environmental Protection Agency. "Lead Free" certification websites, SEM/EDS data on composition of bullets, Doppler radar data, and some wound ballistic information is covered in this presentation. Most non-lead ammunition uses copper or gilding metal materials either as solids or as jackets. These present no difference in comparison to conventional ammunition. 22 rimfire ammunition presents some issues, especially the copper/polymer bullets, which do not mark well. Comparisons are possible with 22 rimfire tin bullets.
