At AFTE 2006, Part 1 of this research was presented. A portion of this initial work focused on the examination of then consecutively manufactured Hi-Point magazine, ten same lot Checkmate brand magazine and their ability to reproduce identifiable marks. The conclusion of the initial research determined that magazine marks are potentially identifiable provided that the quality of marks is sufficient. As a continuation of this research, ten same lot Browning Hi-Power magazines were obtained from pro-Mag Industries of South Gate, CA.
