One thousand seventy nine 40 S&W caliber discharged cartridge cases were obtained from Glock. These DCCs were examined, evaluated, and inter-compared to determine of they could be individualized to themselves and excluded from all of the others. This is an ongoing process and there have been several reports and/or presentations of the then current results. Discussion of the research in the discipline of firearm and toolmark identification over the past 100 years and criteria for identification is also included in this presentation.
