Dates of Significant Events
5th August 1825
Louis Sellier, a French merchant, received the privilege to manufacture percussion caps for infantry firearms in its newly founded factory in Prague from Franz I., the Emperor of Austria. Shortly afterwards he invited his countryman, Jean Maria Nicolaus Bellot, to join the company. Under his leadership the manufacture quickly gained momentum and Sellier & Bellot products soon established themselves on both European and overseas markets. As early as 1830 the manufacture of percussion caps was in excess of 60 million and peaked later in 1837 by enormous quantity 156 millions caps.
1829
A subsidiary plant in Prussian Schőnebeck was founded.
1835
Sellier & Bellot was appointed the Emperor‘s official supplier.
1870
Cartridge production started. Together with Flobert‘s rimfire and Lefaucheux‘s pin-primer cartridges, first centrefire cartridges appeared in the production program. During few years, the annual output grew up to 10 millions cartridges.
1884
Another subsidiary plant was established in Riga (Latvia) and this soon covered demands for percussion caps in the whole Russia and Scandinavian countries.
1893
The first trade mark Sellier & Bellot has been listed in Prague.
1895
Hunting cartridge cases, quickly followed by hunting cartridges, were brought into the production program. This program was also extended by copper primers for blasting works and ammunition manufacture in Skoda Pilsen.
1914 - 1918
During the years of World War I the production of commercial ammunition was curbed and total capacity used to manufacture rifle and handgun cartridges for the Army. The Steyr 9 mm cartridge was developed and introduced to serial production during this period. After the independent state of Czechoslovakia was founded in October 1918, the Company became the dominant supplier of handgun ammunition for the Czechoslovak army and police. The production of commercial ammunition for competition shooting and hunting purposes was further extended. The Company expanded into the Asian and South American markets where Sellier & Bellot‘s infantry cartridges met with a great success.
Based on the invention of its managing director Mr. Blechta, the Company became the only manufacturer of silver azide in the world. Owing to this, the production of industrial detonators increased significantly.
1936
The Company´s transfer from Prague to Vlašim led to further growth.
1945
Nationalization of the Company and the decision of the Czechoslovak Government to introduce state monopoly for the manufacture of both military and commercial ammunition supplied a key incentive for further development of Sellier & Bellot. The range of commercial ammunition was extended to forty rifle calibre types, ten pistol and twenty revolver types. Shot shells manufacture ranged from 12 to 410 calibre types and total output was soon increased five times. Approximately 70 % of the output was exported. Original 7.62×45, 7.62×39 and 7.62×54R cartridges were successfully introduced into production to cover the demands of the Czechoslovak Army.
1964
Company started to produce antifriction bearings.
1965
Production of packaging machines, now concentrated in the subsidiary company Sellier & Bellot, stroje Ltd. began.
1972
Manufacture of cartridges according to valid C.I.P. regulations was begun.
1992
Transformation of the state-owned company to a joint-stock company - Sellier & Bellot JSC. The company‘s shareholders are Czech natural and legal persons; a part of the equity is hold by Company´s employees.
Almost 70% of production volume is exported through the daughter company - Sellier & Bellot Trade JSC. The company´s products are exported to more than seventy countries in the world.
1998
Sellier & Bellot JSC was granted ISO 9001 Certificate.
1999
Sellier & Bellot has got the bronze medal in Deutsches Waffen Journal readers´ vote for year 1999 in the category of Ammunition.
2005
Sellier & Bellot JSC celebrating its 180th anniversary this year is not only the oldest engineering company in the Czech Republic but also one among the oldest companies in the world. It has been manufacturing products bearing its trade mark uninterruptedly since 1825.

One headstamp that can be seen on products from the company ZSR Patlayıcı Sanayi A.Ş. Other headstamps seen on their products include "ZSR" and "MPD". SAR has multiple formats of headstamps, including both the one shown and "SAR 9P ##", where the ## stands for the last two digits of the year made. They produce handgun, rifle, and machine gun caliber cartridges.
The company ZSR Patlayıcı Sanayi A.Ş.started in October 2018 by that name. Prior to that between August 2017 and October 2018, the same company was known as Sarsılmaz Patlayıcı Sanayi A.Ş (not the same as Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi A.Ş., the firearm manufacturer). And prior to August 2017, they were known as Yavaşçalar A.Ş.
This is not to be confused with SAR USA, who sells ammunition, but is owned by the firearm manufacturer company of Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi A.Ş. out of Turkey. SAR USA imports the Turkish products. SAR USA ammunition will have a headstamp of "SARUSA 9P ##".

In 1905, two Englishmen named Roy Squires and William Bingham put up a photo print shop and merchandising firm in the Philippines. The company established was called Squires, Bingham & Co.
Squires and Bingham eventually expanded their business to general trading; importing and retailing motorcycles and sporting goods - including firearms and ammunition. By the 1930's, Squires Bingham Co. had become popularly associated with sporting guns. It was at this point in time that Arthur D. Hileman, an ex-US Army Hospital Corpsman, purchased the store from its original owners.
In 1941, the store - referred to as the "Sportsmen's Headquarters" - found a new owner in Celso S. Tuason. Unfortunately, just four months after he purchased the store, World Ward II broke out and Japan invaded the Philippines! Naturally, the invaders first order of business, much to dismay of Don Celso, was to confiscate all the firearms in his store. To survive, Squires Bingham Company had to rely on its clothing and haberdashery during those dark years.
After the war, due to foreign exchange controls, Don Celso Tuason decided to venture into manufacturing. He focused on the most popular and profitable item in the store - firearms and ammunition. Like most countries after World War II, it was a time of rebuilding. Thus, in 1952, the President of the Philippines granted the Tuason family permission to manufacture firearms and ammunition locally as it was in line with his governments thrust towards industrialization. This led to the birth of Squires Bingham Manufacturing. Inc.
In the mid-1960's, Don Celson Tuason decided that it was time to turn over the management of the Company to his three sons - Bolo, Butch and Conkoy. In 1980, Squires Bingham Co., Inc. became the holding company of the Celso S. Tuason family and their varied business interests. Don Celso's eldest son, Demetrio "Bolo" Tuason, was chosen to be the Chairman and President of the manufacturing company for firearms and ammunition. Thus, Arms Corporation of the Philippines (Armscor) was born.

From Website:
SNC TEC was formed as a result of two purchases: the first, in 1980, Industries Valcartier Inc. (IVI), a small caliber ammunition plant; and the second, in 1986, Canadian Arsenals Ltd. (CAL), a large caliber ammunition facility with two plants. Both IVI and CAL were built during World War II and operated by the Canadian government as crown corporations for many years prior to being sold to the private sector. Since these two acquisitions in the 1980s, there has been considerable streamlining, reorganization and modernization to maintain highly effective ammunition facilities.
In 2001, SNC TEC acquired Expro Chemical Products in Valleyfield. This acquisition has strengthened the company's position as a key member of the ammunition industrial base by providing the knowledge and technology of one of only two extruded propellant manufacturers in North America.

responsibilities.
From this concept has come the vision of Total Customer Satisfaction which includes: development and technologies oriented towards user needs; concurrent engineering to accelerate new product introduction; working in partnership with clients and suppliers; and the delegation of quality control to Manufacturing operators. TIRED on the box doesn´t mean, that the bullet is "tired" ...its just stands short for "TIR REDUIT" or shortrange in english.
It shows as maker IVI from 1995, but the cartridge itself bears the mark SNC 9mm 95.
The box furthermore states: For Pistol Model MAS 9mmG1.
PA means Pistol Automatic, contrary to PM, which means Pistolet Mitrailleur = Submachine Gun

A Brief History
Per CartWinPro:
The number at the 9:00 position is the lot number. The number at the 3:00 position is the year of production.
Per Speer:
"...most probably an over-run of a contract sale to an overseas customer and the extras are loaded into our Independence (5250) product and sold commercially in the US. The head-stamp indicates it was made in 2012 for Lot # 13 of the contract."
