AFTE Store - A Case of Interest

Case study in which an airline hi-jack was thwarted by a Sky Marshall carrying a 25 Auto caliber Baby Browning pistol. Of note were aftermarket markings made on the firing pin and breechface of the firearm. These markings reflected a similar method of marking pistols used by Shanghai Ballistics Officers in the 1930’s. Marks were made wth chisel and file. The relative locations of these markings were coded to indicate the owner of the firearm, the nationality of the owner, and the make/model of the firearm.
