A light weight bullet trap fabricated from recycled materials is capable of handling all commonly encountered calibers and ammunition. The material removed from one ballistic panel was unwoven and placed into a carpet tube wrapped with intact ballistic panels to produce a reusable, light weight bullet trap. The resulting device is capable of trapping multiple full power projectiles from .22 L.R. through 7.62x39mm without damaging or distorting the bullets and can be used in the field as well as in the laboratory.
