This paper presents a very effective method of gunpowder particle, gunsmoke, and bullet wipe detection that is preferable to other methods described in the literature. This method is more economical in terms of consumables and effort. In addition, this method reintroduces the use of Marshall’s Reagent, once thought to be a carcinogen.
