AFTE Store - A SMG Silencer Adaped for A Model 98 Mauser Rifle

The existence of a great variety of devices intended to supress or silence a firearm discharge sound dictate the necessity of the continuous exchange of information amound the firearm examiners about the silencers tested. Recently one rifle and two suspicious cylindrical devices were submitted for an examination. The investigator wanted to know, (1) whethe rthe two devices are silencers, (2) whether they were used to reduce the discharge report of ammunition, and (3) whether one of the devices ever had been attached to the suspect rifle.
