In 1975 the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration’s Law Enforcement Standards Program (LESP) sponsored An Evaluation of Police Handgun Ammunition. This article evaluates ammunition, primarily 38 Special and 357 Magnum calibers, introduced since the LESP study.
