Aberrant Manufacturing Marks on Federal Ammunition

Occasionally, extraneous marks are produced on ammunition and ammunition components during their fabrication that are resultant from aberrations in established manufacturing and/or quality control procedures. These aberrant manufacturing marks could be misconstrued as firearm mechanism markings unless the examiner is aware of the possibilities of these occurrences.
