AFTE Store - Accidental Discharge Warning: Cobray SM-11/NINE mm and Variants

The Philadelphia Firearms Identification Unit has received a Cobray, SM-11/NINE mm on which a series of drop/impact tests were conducted. These drop tests revealed that the pistol would discharge when dropped on the posterior of the frame from a height of seven (7) inches and higher. Testing also showed that the pistol could be discharged out of battery with the bolt held open as much as + of an inch. Further tests of two (2) additional Cobray laboratory reference samples also could discharge in both categories: drop/impact test and open bolt.
