AFTE Store - An Average Phase Scoring or Bullets, in the IBIS Correlation Results

This report presents a new way, which the authors believe is the optimal way, of achieving proper candidate ranking by calculating the Phase score as an Average Phase score, using the existing LEA-to-LEA (LEA-Land Engraved Area) correlation scores received from the Signature Analysis Station (SAS), in the IBIS (Integrated Ballistics Identification System). This average Phase scoring can help re-order the Max phase and Peak Phase correlation results lists; thus the best potential candidate bullets that have already been found in the system will be ranked in higher positions within the two lists.
