AFTE Store - An Observation while firing “HP” ammunition

Examination of submitted ammunition of 380 caliber with an “HP” headstamp revealed a steel bullet with a coating that peels off during firing, removing the fine barrel striations. This peeling could inhibit the microscopic examination.
