AFTE Store - Ballistic Body Armor Vest Integrity Evaluation – Forty-Five Years Postproduction

This article details eight structural integrity tests performed on a Bullet Resistant Body Armor vest which was manufactured in 1978 and tested in 2023. A series of assorted caliber projectiles were discharged into the vest at a distance of 12 feet to determine the enduring bullet resistance of the garment almost forty-five years after manufacture.
