AFTE Store - Cartridge Interchangeability: 38 Smith & Wesson Caliber Cartridges Fired in 357 Sig, 40 S&W and 10mm Caliber Firearms

A submitted 357 Sig pistol was found to have three 38 Smith & Wesson and one 9x19mm caliber cartridges in the magazine. The 38 Smith & Wesson caliber cartridges were found to feed and chamber from the magazine but required manual extraction and ejection. Other firearms of different makes and calibers were examined for operability using the 38 Smith & Wesson cartridge.
