AFTE Store - Case Report: FIREARM SAFETY WARNING for Bryco Arms model Jennings Nine

The Illinois State Police Forensic Science Laboratory System has received two Bryco Arms, model Jennings Nine pistols which would spontaneously fire full-auto. One of the pistols would discharge when the thumb safety was moved to the fire position. Upon examination of the two malfunctioning firearms and an examination of four other firearms of this make and model it was determined that these two malfunctions were caused from wear/damage to the sear tip and to the safety lever arm not fitting tightly under the sear arm.
