AFTE Store - Commercial 9mm Makarov Ammunition Fired in 9mm Luger Pistols

A routine examination of fired 9mm Makarov caliber cartridge cases of American commercial manufacture revealed breechface and ejector impression characteristics similar to that of a common 9mm Luger caliber semi-automatic pistol. Further investigation of the actual cartridge dimensions of commercial manufactured 9mm Makarov ammunition revealed that some are capable of being fired in 9mm Luger caliber firearms.
