AFTE Store - Comparison of Wound Ballistic Potential of 9MM vs. 5.56MM (.223) Cartridges for Law Enforcement Entry Applications

The wounding characteristics of 9mm Parabellum and 5.56x45mm (.223) bullets fired from typical shoulder fired weapons used by law enforcement tactical teams for entry scenarios is reviewed. Significant differences in wound severity were noted depending on firearm and ammunition type.
