AFTE Store - Defeating Magazine Safeties In Semiautomatic Pistols

Firearms having the magazine safety feature and without a magazine are classified as operable when submitted to the NYPD Crime Laboratory Firearms Analysis Section. NYPD Legal Bureau has concurred. However, the burden of proving this condition to the court may rest with the examiner’s ability to explain and demonstrate how the magazine safety feature can be successfully manipulated and defeated to discharge the firearm.
