AFTE Store - Determination of Barrel Length from Examination of a Contact Powder Pattern

A laboratory was recently called upon to examine evidence in connection with a shooting incident. A pillow was submitted was hypothesized to have been folded over the firearm in the course of the shooting. The gunshot pattern observed on the pillow was compared to the submitted firearm.
