AFTE Store - Distance Determination Angle and Performance of the Taser International Model X26

Experimental testing of the Taser International model X26 demonstrated a performance deviation from the published probe spread provided by the manufacturer. Although the manufacturer specifications and construction of the device indicates an eight degree angle for the probe deployment, testing demonstrated an actual average performance angle of 6.67 degrees. The difference in published verses actual performance spread of the probes over distance can have an effect on the calculated muzzle to target distance when reconstructing the deployment of the weapon.
