AFTE Store - DRUGFIRE: The Federal Bureau of Investigation Which is a Participant in the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN)

The FBI developed and is deploying a computer system that is capable of capturing images of fired cartridge cases and bullets. The system will correlate the captured images with a database of similar images enabling an examiner to search for related images and solve serial type shooting crimes.
