AFTE Store - Effect of Incident Angle on the Shape of Entrance Wounds in Experimental Targets Resulting from a Ricochet When Fired from a 9mm Makarov Pistol

A total of 329 shots, fired from a 9mm Makarov pistol, were ricocheted into witness panels (both cloth and human tissue). The resulting wound damage was categorized into four different shape types. The results of this study show a statistical relationship between the ricochet incident angle and the shape of the resulting gunshot wound.
