AFTE Store - Evaluation of NIBIN Unified Scores in Relation to NIBIN Leads: Establishing a Score Threshold for Better Time Efficiency

The National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) program implemented a new scoring mechanism called the Unified Score. This type of scoring appears to be very discerning with potential NIBIN Lead exhibits. A survey of actual NIBIN Lead scores from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Scientific Investigations Division program shows that over 99% of NIBIN Leads will have a Unified Score of at least 2.0.
