Forged revolvers were smuggled into Japan in the 60s and 70s, most had the name “Colt”, “Ruby”, or “S&W” so they were dubbed CRS homemade guns. In 1986, two forged Colt 45 semi-automatic pistols were confiscated and sent to the laboratory.
