Case report of a Taurus model 60 revolver within the serial number range of a safety recall by Taurus. The firearm was received in a non-operating condition. Removal of the sideplate and inspection of the mechanism revealed a misalignment of several parts. Subsequent reassembly and testing revealed the firearm to be in normal operating condition. Since it fell within the serial number range of the recall, further safety testing was performed by drop testing. The initial test of this revolver returned it to the same non-operating condition as when it was received. Similar testing was performed on other Taurus revolvers, some within the recall range, and some outside the range. Similar results were obtained and reported in tabular form.
