AFTE Store - Jacketed Bullet Cannelure Impressions Inside Cartridge Cases

When a jacketed bullet is seated and crimped into a cartridge case, it is possible for the inside of the cartridge case mouth to be deformed and take an impression of the bullet’s knurled cannelure. This impression may vary in depth and completeness depending on the pressure used and the types of materials involved. The cannelureimpressions are durable and can survive the expended cartridge case being reloaded with either a lead or smooth jacketed bullet.
