AFTE Store - Modified Pistol Cartridges used in Crimes in Turkey between January 2006-September 2008

The types and calibres of pistol ammunition submitted to the Aydin Regional Criminal Laboratory, in Turkey, between January 2006 and September 2008 are discussed and the results evaluated. The most common calibres of conventional bulleted factory made ammunition were 7.65mm Browning and nominal 9mm/.38 inch accounting for 33% and 64% of all conventional pistol cartridge submissions respectively. In addition, 24% of all pistol cartridges submitted were modified blank cartridges.
