AFTE Store - Modifying Mushroomed Bullet Jackets to Facilitate Comparisons

To adequately compare a fired evidence bullet to test fired exemplars it may be necessary to modify the bullet jacket to expose the bearing surface for microsocpic examination. This article discusses several methods of jacket modification as well as observations that should be recorded prior to such modification.
