AFTE Store - Mosin-Nagant with Missing Bolt Head

A Mosin-Nagant bolt action rifle was submitted for function testing with a missing bolt head assembly. It was determined that even without this assembly present, the rifle would still fire a primed case. Further testing with an exemplar firearm determined that not only would this firearm design fire a primed case without the bolt head assembly in place, it was also capable of firing a bullet with possibly lethal consequences.
