AFTE Store - Obsolete Caliber 7.92x33mm AK Type Rifles which are also Capable of Firing 7.62x39mm Cartridges
This paper presents and discusses the various features about the obsolete caliber 7.92x33mm rifles which are being manufactured locally in Pakistan. Local gunsmiths also amend the chambers of the AK47 (7.62x39mm Caliber) rifles to fire 7.92x33mm cartridges. A large quantity of 7.92x33mm cartridges are made by resizing and reloading the large caliber cartridges cases. Most of these types of rifles either new made or converted from AK47 are capable of firing both 7.62x39mm and 7.92x33mm cartridges. Certain class and individual characteristics which appear on a 7.62x39mm cartridge case when fired in 7.92x33mm rifle are described in this paper.
