AFTE Store - Pakistani Headstamp Forgeries

The author participated in the reconstruction of the Kabul Police Crime Laboratory, concentrating on the fields of forensic ballistics, fingerprints, and forensic photography. To date, many firearms, cartridges, and cartridge casings have been examined. The firearms examined reflect the recent history of Afghanistan, war-torn since the 1979 Soviet invasion. Many cartridges manufactured in bordering Pakistan are widely available on the black market. Many of these, commonly in 9mm Makarov caliber, display forged headstamps.
