The Thompson/Center Arms Contender model single shot pistol has a choke tube accessory available which allows .410 bore shot shells to be fired as well as .45 Colt ammunition. Firing the pistol using .45 Colt caliber ammunition with the choke tube attached produces a very different bullet from when the choke tube is not present. This situation could lead to an incorrect elimination if two bullets were examined or if the choke tube was not submitted with the firearm.
