AFTE Store - Reprint: A Microchemical Test for Copper-Containing Bullet Wiping

The article expands on the AFTE Glossary definiton for bullet wiping to have it mean the residue removed from a projectile’s surface during penetration and deposited around the margin of an entry hole. This research shows the forensic value of these residues can be extended in certain shooting cases. This article originally appeared in the AFTE Journal Vol. 13 3 July 1981.
