AFTE Store - Reprint: Forensic Ballistics

This reprint of “Forensic Ballistics” was first published in 1925 in “Army Ordnance” Volume VI, No. 33. This article is being reprinted with permission from the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Association (USAOCA), formerly the Army Ordnance Association, and was submitted by AFTE Member James Roberts. The following was written in the “Who’s Who in this Issue” portion. “Maj. Calvin H. Goddard, Ord. Res., in his paper, “Forensic Ballistics,” describes one of the most interesting practical applications of ordnance technique developed in recent years. We feel certain that those of our readers who are particularly interested in small arms, their history and development, Will find in the researches described by Major Goddard a very practical and scientific solution of a problem which has confused and often times frustrated our foremost criminologists. We feel particularly grateful to Major Goddard and his associates for the privilege of publishing his paper since this is the first formal presentation of these data in American literature.”
