AFTE Store - Reprint: Jokers in the Field of Firearms Identification

A listing of unexpected situations which can occur in Firearms Identification casework. Examples given include: Automatic pistol ammo fired in revolvers; pistol bullets fired in rifles, either by the use of chamber adapters or by handloading pistol bullets in rifle cases; switching barrels or firing pins in semi-automatic pistols; etc. A listing of some interchangeable calibers and firearm types is given, along with in depth discussion of some unusual occurrences listed above.
