AFTE Store - Reprint: Rifle Markingings of Titan 25 Caliber Semi-Automatic Pistols
In this article the land marks and wide range of width distribution of Titan pistols were studied. Most of the bullets fired from 25 Auto Titan pistols have unique rifling marks. The depth of the land marks of fired bullets is shallow compared with that of the notches which are observed on both sides of the land marks. These characteristic land marks are created by the shallow grooves of the bore and high burrs which are observed at the edge of the grooves. An index of land mark form (IF) was introduced to explain the characteristics of rifling form of Titan pistols. This article originally appeared in the AFTE Journal Vol. 18 2 April 1986.
