An article outlining a barrel length variability study conducted using a single shot 12 gauge 30 inch full choked shotgun. The study was to determine if shortening the barrel length will have any affect on muzzle to wound pattern size. Only the barrel length was changed throughout the experiment. It was concluded the barrel length does affect shot pattern density and must be considered when determining muzzle to wound distances.
