Recently, the Albuquerque Police Department began issuing a new style of Federal, 12 gauge shotshell to Officers in the field. This new design was found to greatly reduce the pellet pattern diameter at all distances evaluated. The new wad design, FLITECONTROLTM, is a radical departure from conventional shot-cup systems.
