AFTE Store - Technical Report: Utilization of the IBIS in Israel

This report provides information about the experience of the Israel Police in the utilization of the Integrated Ballistics Identification System (IBISTM). The laboratory achieved the best results by inputting a maximum of information, so that only the best choices are presented by the system to the examiner. The authors will show that an expert examiner can improve the system’s efficiency by building a database and analyzing the correlation results.
