AFTE Store - Technical Report: Zee Bullets Another Entry into the Lead-Free Market

This new-comer to the lead-free bullet market is made by Gutowski, Inc. 1000 Industrial Drive, Bensenville, Illinois 60106 [U.S. patent number 5,535,495] and distributed by Dillon Precision Products in Scottsdale, AZ. as a handloading component. These cast zinc bullets are presently available in 9mm (88 gr.), 38/357 caliber (97 gr.) and 45 caliber (142 gr.). According to the manufacturer’s literature they contain no lead and are designed for target and training use. These bullets take up the rifling in a comparable manner as tradition lead and copper-jacketed bullets. Some of the exterior and terminal ballistic characteristics have been studied and are presented here.
