AFTE Store - The Firearms/Tool Mark Examiner in Court

This paper is an attempt to set out a few guidelines for those of us who are called upon to testify in court. Nine areas will be covered starting with a brief history of our expertise in the courts. The eight other areas relating to testimony are: case examination with testimony in mind, pre-trial conference, dressing for the stand, entrance and taking the oath, taking the stand and handling your nerves, direct examination, cross-examination, and exiting the courtroom.
