AFTE Store - The Frequency of Occurrence of Individual Characteristics of Firearms on Fired Bullets and Cartridge Cases

In this study, authors tried to evaluate the difficulty of achieving an identification by examining single specimens. To evaluate the potential for achieving an identification based on the number and quality of the individual characteristics observed, we have introduced the term “identifiability”. The term is further divided into three levels of difficulty. Test fired bullets and cartridge cases were examined to determine the frequency of individual characteristics within each of the identifiability levels.
