AFTE Store - The Raven Arms P-25 and MP-25 Cam Drop Safety

Twenty-three Raven Arms P-25 and MP-25 25 Auto caliber pistols were examined to determine if the cam in these firearms acts as a drop safety. Five variations of these pistols were distinguished and it was noted that the three most recent variations have a thicker cam than the previous two versions. The center of mass differs between the two types of cams. Drop tests with the 23 firearms revealed those with the thinner cam discharged far more frequently than those with the thicker cam.
