AFTE Store - The Weathering/Time Factor in GSR/Proximity Determinations

Author describes an experiment where twelve cloth targets were shot and either hung on a fence or buried to test the effect of weathering on subsequent GSR examinations (visual examination, Modified Griess testing, sodium rhodizonate testing). One target was recovered from each area monthly and the results compared to a control. Results indicate that caution should be used when weathering may be a factor.
