A review of laboratory submissions revealed a third incident in which a 13-year-old boy accidentally shot himself with a .177 caliber Daisy rifle. The details of these cases are reported as is velocity data derived from testing involving two Daisy air rifles recovered in conjunction with the first submission. Cases of death resulting from injury caused by an air rifle are rare, but can occur given the right combination of circumstances.
